  • Condition Report

Some crazing visible, in particular to the lower third. We note that this is trending towards an unusual sort of hairline toward the bottom of the pot near the base. A little dull when tapped but it is a large pot. Some pin head size glaze flake losses visible on the reverse near the base which appear to be associated with the crazing. Fair to good condition only but still presents attractively.

  • Condition Report

Upon on close inspection, this does appear to have had some professional restoration carried out to the fretwork. Firing crack to the base which has been filled at a later date. Our assumption is that being a family piece, the repairs or restoration work have been carried out by Mahood herself as the piece still presents very attractively.

Hairline crack to base running towards the centre of the signature but does not appear to wrap around to the body of the vase and could possibly be factory given the size of the piece.
