    Replaced blocks to the inside carcass where the drawer fits. The drawer is a possible yet very old replacement or has been structurally rebuilt and has some repairs to the front.  
    A rare example.

    Five of the chairs have had some over-polish/refinishing. Scuffs, scratches and wear as to be expected with age. One with a repair to the corner of the back rail. Two with back rails re-secured. Three chairs are loose in back legs meeting the stretcher due to use. 
    A good matching useful set would respond well to a minor restoration.

    Overall good condition, original finish has been sympathetically revived. Good overall colour and patination, shrinkage and separation to the oak drawer linings. The vertical drawer blade/separator to the two top small drawers is loose on the back panel causing it to slightly drop and making the drawers tight. Sides with minor filled chips and losses.
    A nice example would respond well to minor restoration.

    Fine original colour and patination. Pleasant diminutive size. 
    There is some shrinkage separations to the mitered molding joins to the top. Left hand mold with old crack. Top panel join with minor separation. Scuffs nicks and wear as to be expected with age. One quarter portion of bottom drawer escutcheon plate missing. Top drawer escutcheon plate missing.
    Lovely size and rare piece of furniture in original untouched condition. Would respond well to sympathetic restoration.

    The upper and lower back appear to be 19th century and original, but we note the boards on the top and bottom are different.

    Original finish throughout. Foldover top is nice an flat, top with numerous scratches, dents and scuffs as this appears never to be sanded or finished. top also has two large old gouges. Structurally sound and solid. Small timber repair to the back right corner of the return freeze, can only be seen when the top is rotated to open. Retaining original green wool playing surface. Underside of legs shows signs of previous recessed castors no longer present. Honest and original condition would respond well to sympathetic restoration.

    The sectional veneered top with polish imperfections at the joins, shrinkage blemishes and movement crack due to separation of the substrate. The finish to the top is not perfect but original, would respond well to sympathetic restoration.

    Original condition and finish throughout. The lower half somewhat dry and slightly faded in comparison to the top due to sun bleaching, this would respond well to an oil and wax. Top right cornice mold absent, left had side back portion of the cornice has been cut out and removed due to previous fitting of it at previous premises. Back legs are of the period but possible replacements

    An impressive and useful piece of furniture.

    Original condition and finish, good even colour. Later knob fitted to the door, replaced but old door lock.

    Due to its design/style we believe this is made in South Australia, an estate carpentry made piece, with rudimentary exposed joinery and nail fitted molding. This is where the vendors family resided.

    A useful piece as noted this is not made by cabinet maker, a vernacular style.

    Tapered column is loose in the base block, minor repair needed to make structurally sound. Base and column with original finish, good condition. Top has slight cupping sun bleach colour difference and has been refinished sometime ago.
    A nice example would benefit from minor restoration.
