The painting is offered for sale in what appears to be the original frame and mount. There is slight foxing to the mount which appears to have affected the painting at the lower extremities of the painting. Otherwise the painting is in lovely fresh condition with no tears, holes or over-painting. Signature and date are clearly visible in the bottom left hand corner. 

Several areas of foxing visible around the margin. Doesn't appear to affect the image. Otherwise in good condition.

Image appears to be very crisp and clean, no evidence of damage or defects. Several foxing spots visible on the card mount, particularly to the lower right portion. Frames appears to be original with numerous scuffs and wear as to be expected with age. Overall a very good example.

As photographed, these are quite dull and faded in comparison with other examples we have seen. This is often the case we have noted on wooden artifacts. Unfortunately the unsigned example has been broken and glued back together. Fortunately the signed one is complete and in good condition. 

It is gouache on board, with small surface faults, see black ballet shoe at left, left of chin of the girl in the foreground and a couple of similar faults. The vertical pencil mark that was present when photographed (upper left corner) has been removed without damage to the image. 

Heavy craquelure in particular to the petal areas, we would suggest having this area professionally stabilised. Frame with a couple of minor scuffs and losses to the gilding to be expected with a painting of this age.
