Lot #266 A Colonial Australian cedar circular tilt-top dining table, the top impressively crafted from a single slab of Australian cedar with thumbnail moulded edge and flame veneer cedar skirt. Full cedar secondary construction, with tapering faceted column, finely carved collar, and tri-form base on scrolling feet, most likely Sydney origin, circa 1840, generous proportions of 77cm high, 134cm diameter. Provenance: The Cudmore - Sprod family (arrived in South Australia from Tasmania in 1837).
