Very good original condition throughout, some light rubbing to the gilded highlights (to be expected).

Original unrestored condition, break to left hand pane of glass. Scuffs, scratches and rubbing to the original ebonized finish (as to be expected with age). The right hand column where it meets the top of the cabinet is separated and would need re-gluing with a small band of veneer missing. Would respond well to sympathetic restoration.

Seat height 43cm

This has a pull out mechanism with four separate leaves which drop in. The reason we have said A/F on this is there appears to be provision for two additional central supporting legs which are now missing. The vendor stated that it never had them, but originally it would have. In our opinion the table is not stable enough to be reliable with all leaves in it. Numerous restorations to the base and leg areas. Currently sitting askew. Fair condition only.

Restored condition, most likely repolished 50 years ago. Leather upholstery in good order. A good comfortable chair.

Structurally sound, evidence of professional repair to the back splat joins. Glue repair to the original splice join to one of the back legs. Later vintage upholstery. Presents well.

Height adjustment mechanism in working order

Very good original condition, we note this has been crafted in the antique style. This is a vintage arts/craft example. Which is good, firm, intact and complete. Minor rubbing to the finish of the arm rests. A rare example.

Silk image and slip border in original condition, no damage, repairs or water staining. Present well.

Cabinet separates from stand

This icon came with a notation provided by the vendor stating the icon was painted on wood commissioned for the church in Bulgaria. Stating the artists name is Ivan Penkov from the Art School of Bulgaria. Noting that this artist was deemed "the people's painter". All of the icons came from one private collection assembled in Europe over the last 25 years.
Appears to be in very good condition, with no evidence of any significant restorations. Presents very well. Some slight rubbing to the edges. 

Numerous scratches, chipping to the margin and losses visible throughout. Still presents very attractively, we note an area of possible restoration near the angels flowers. Fair to good condition only.

Old repair lower right. Some surface craquelure throughout, and there appears to be some sort of deterioration/restoration on the left-hand side.

This piece we note has been relined with modern canvas on the back, most likely done in the late 20th century. The painting surface was probably also cleaned at this stage and we note an even craquelure evident throughout. A very attractive picture that presents very well. Frame appears to be in good condition with a few minor scuffs and losses.

Surface craquelure evident throughout. We note slight creasing to the canvas and paint surface against the stretcher visible around the margin of the painting. Would benefit from possible re-stretching. Frame appears to be period and has been repainted, probably more than once in its lifetime. Presents very well, a very attractive painting.
In our opinion the work is original and the signature is correct. This came with a publication including the artist work. The current vendors are quite elderly English couple who had shown the work the to Manchester Art Gallery who verbally authenticated the piece, we have no copy of this authentication.

In very good overall condition with no evidence of overpainting or repair. The frame does have some losses, but is structurally sound, especially along the base (as can be seen in the photos).
