Overall signs of age and wear. Small dent to the edge of the front lens. Several grub screws to the brass collar mounts replaced. Operational but in need of a good clean. Genuine, late 18th century, London made telescope.

Very attractive tooth in good order which appears to be of some significant age but unsure if 19th or 20th century. The engraved decoration, in our opinion, is later and 20th century (but unsure as it is not signed).

Significant chip loss to the foot of base. One stem to a leaf has been broken and repaired at some stage. Overall, still presents very attractively and is the only example seen in our rooms to date. (See additional images).

Shell losses to base of the carapace, small loss to right hand side of shell. Plate losses to underside of turtle. Missing one eye. Still displays nicely.
