Condition ReportDamage and areas of loss the left-hand finial and most of the escutcheons, however we note there is a small handful of loose pieces in the top drawer which would be very handy for restoration purposes. These appear to be most of the escutcheon pieces and part of the finial. Polish and finish appear to be all original with very attractive patination. Some shrinkage cracks visible to the veneer in places, particularly to the areas on the writing surface. Several minor veneer restorations throughout, most notable to the front of the drawers in several locations, clearly visible in photographs. Overall, this still presents very attractively that would respond from sympathetic restoration.
