Burner present and intact. Burner back plate stamped 'ALDERSON & GYDE LTD Birmingham 1944'. In original order, build up of polishing compound in crevasses throughout . Lens in good condition, overall scuffs and scratches as expected with age. Dent to the convex front above the lens as seen in the photo as the three scratch lines. a handsome example 

Time only movement, does not strike the watches. Movement present and correct but does need a service as the platform escapement is sluggish.

Damage to mast and rigging. Fair condition only.

Unknown reason as to engraved names on the lip, possibly christening dates.
The tongue/clapper has been removed.
Multiple strike marks over the sides of the bell possibly done with a blunt object.  
In original condition no signs of restoration or repairs.

Base plate with numerous chips and losses to the underside of the rim in particular, some rubbing and loss to the glaze highlights visible to the top as well as some crazing. Still presents well.

Chip to the rim of the filter insert. Otherwise very good condition throughout, an excellent example. 

Several chips to the back edge, including one significant (approximately 2cm) however these do not affect the central plaque piece. Quite grotty. Fair to good condition.
