Lot 1A Queen Anne sterling silver covered tankard of early design, made by John Gibbons of London, circa 1702, Circular reed and flute decorated raised plinth base with vertically fluted sides and bands of wriggle work. Stamped floral motif and a large engraving cartouche with armorial engraved crest to centre front flanked by embossed fruiting vine leaves. Hinged flat cover with raised platform to the centre part and a central floral design with radiating flute decoration.
