Lot 27H.M.A.S. SYDNEY Presentation walking stick with silver plaque "A Token Of Esteem From A.C.T. Branch, R.S.S.A.I.L.A.", enamel plaque in the top of the handle reads "Wood From H.M.A.S. Sydney". The Sydney was famed for being the first Australian naval ship to engage the enemy in battle in WW1 on the 1st of November 1914, where she encountered the German light cruiser the S.M.S. EMDEN in what became known as the Battle of the Cocos. ​88cm high
