Description:
A cased collection of 10 RCA Victor "Victrola" single-sided 78rpm recordings titled "Great Musical Masterpieces for the Violin", with every disc featuring Jascha Heifetz; circa 1952. Also, a promotional booklet issued by RCA Victor in 1963 titled "The Recordings of Heifetz".
Heifetz found this collection of his own music at a souvenir store during a drive on a family vacation in the 1950's. After a humorous exchange with the store owner, during which Heifetz claimed to be a well-known country-music fiddler, he purchased the set with a smile.
