Description:
Large photo album with "Jascha Heifetz" screen printed to front cover which is also endorsed "from 1950 to date (1960)" which is not entirely accurate. The album contains a fabulous range of private, public and performance images. Many of Heifetz at play with his wife and son, Jay, in the early 1950s, visiting a violin manufacturer, on the set of the film "Ragged Angels", with President Harry Truman at the White House, on tour in Mexico, Israel, sailing, playing tennis and even adding stamps to his stamp album.
An unexpected treasure included in the collection is a rare original image of Heifetz visiting Charlie Chaplin on the set of "The Kid" in 1920. (approx. 175 items).
Heifetz loved collecting photographs in his albums.
