1887 Queen Victoria Black on Coloured Papers ½d on purple to 3/- on salmon (defect at upper-left) plus an extra 1/- on yellow (normally a pale tint), a few mostly minor problems but generally very fine for such large stamps, various cancellations including 'EVENING STANDARD/NEWSPAPER COMPANY' cachet on 1d, illiterate 'cASLEMANE' on 6d, double-oval 'BALLARAT/22JUN98/CANCELLED' d/s in blue on 8d & in red on the 1/- on yellow, superb 'SP STREET/8FEB95' d/s in blue on 1/- on pale yellow & two overlapping strikes on 3/-. An extremely difficult set to assemble. (13)
