1928-29 Round the World Flight per the German aviator Friedrich Karl von Koenig-Warthausen being a Stephen Smith postcard with 'CALCUTTA TO AKYAB' h/s in green, boxed 'DELAYED BY/UNFAVOUARBLE/WEATHER/...' cachet in blue & exceptional 'AKYAB, 5-2-29' h/s in violet. As noted on the card von Koenig-Warthausen was promoted as "The Boy Pilot". He obtained his pilot's licence after only 12 hours instruction & began his successful circumnavigation of the globe aged only 22.
