NETHERLANDS SHIP MODEL BASIN: In 1980 the NYYC authorised the Australians to use the Dutch testing tank at Wageningen, Netherlands (NSMB). Ben Lexcen spent four months there at the beginning of 1981, with Dutch engineers Peter Van Oossanen & Joop W.Sloff, testing models of Challenge 12 and Australia II. Collection with bound Report No.45916-1-DR, comprising Pages 1-30 colour photographs tipped in, and pages 31-103 analysis; plus 78 colour photographs. Models 5854 "A" & "B"; Models 6360 "A", "B" & "C" with various keels & winglets.
