1847 (Sept 2) entire to Cassilis with 'GENERAL POST OFFICE/SYDNEY' crowned oval (White #S9) b/s and 'CASSILIS/SE11/1847/NEW.S.WALES' oval arrival h/s (White #C63; stated to be the best of the few recorded strikes) on face, rated "1/2" in red for 4d coastal shipletter plus 10d for carriage of not more than 170 miles, aging marks and internally repaired edge faults.
