1933 (Dec 22) Sydney-Currie #349 cover flown by Nancy Bird and Charles Gatenby on the first direct flight to King Island signed by both pilots and franked with KGV 1½d brown and ½d orange tied 'CURRIE/28DE33/KING IS' on arrival, subsequently counter-signed "Nancy Bird 1983" at the Canberra Aerial Derby almost 50 years later, Cat $500. [Flown in two aircraft with Gatenby carrying the mail to King Island as Nancy Bird did not make the Bass Strait crossing]
