[3 flown on this leg; the plane left Wyndham, WA on Oct 18 and proceeded via China, Hong Kong, India, Iraq and Sudan to South Africa arriving Nov 13; a crash on take-off from Johannesburg on Nov 17 killed the pilot and injured the two passengers, MGM Films officer A Loew and attorney J Rosthal; the plane was destroyed and the flight abandoned]
