1931 (May 26) Australia-England #209 CC Wakefield & Co cover and enclosed letter carried by CWA Scott in a DH60M Gipsy Moth on his record-breaking 10 day 23 hour flight from Western Australia franked Kingsford Smith 3d blue tied 'WYNDHAM/25MAY31/WESTN AUSTRALIA' datestamp, re-addressed on arrival with Great Britain KGV 3d violet and 1½d brown tied 'HYTHE/6JU/31/KENT' and blue R label added, Cat $2,750. [CWA Scott became the first aviator to fly solo in both directions; his flight was sponsored by Lord Wakefield; this item is illustrated in AAMC (p.55) and is one of only three known]
