1932 (June 5) Sydney-Bourke-Sydney #269/269a pair of covers carried by Roy H Mitchell in the 'Jones Monoplane' (first all-Australian designed and built plane) both signed "LJR Jones", the former with KGV 2d red tied 'STUART TOWN/14JE32/NSW' datestamp where the plane made a forced landing on the outward leg plus photograph of pilot and designer with damaged plane, the latter endorsed "...carried on the Sydney-Bourke return flight ..." and sent under cover to addressee EA Crome by pilot's sister after Mitchell was killed when the plane crashed at Quakers Hill, both with minor aging marks, Cat $1,300.
