Description:
RACING COLOURS: Purple, White Maltese Cross, Red cap. As worn by Foxzami to win the 1949 Melbourne Cup. Originally owned by L.G.Robinson of Lord Howe Island, on his death the colours were obtained by the Cosgrove family, who have now had them for 60 years.
What is being auctioned is a right: the right to register the colours in NSW for use on the racecourse. The colours will be transferred to the new owner, who will be forwarded a renewal notice by Racing NSW when they next become due.
Any further queries regarding the registration of Racing Colours please contact Keith Bulloch of Racing NSW on (02) 9551 7588, who will be happy to assist.
