LOT 63 "The Cricket Chronicle for The Season 1863" by Captain W.Bayly [London, 1864], rebound without covers. The rare early cricket annual was published for just one year in 1864, the same year as the first edition of Wisden. It failed to compete with its rival despite giving far more comprehensive review of the 1863 season than Wisden's first effort with full scores of a huge range of matches. Covers were variously dated 1863 and 1864 although the contents are the same. LOT 64 "John Lillywhite's Cricketers' Companion", for 1865-1885 [London 1865-85], complete set bound in seven volumes.
