Post offices in southern & western NSW were very remote from Sydney. Significant time was saved by sending mail directly to Melbourne or Adelaide to meet the mail boat. NSW/Vic "Riverina Covers" are relatively common with 58 recorded: see "Sydney Views" (Aug 2004 & May 2005). However, only a very few similar NSW/SA combination covers are recorded.
