1861 (Sep 22) "Riverina Cover" to Cornwall with rare combination franking of Diadems 6d purple (trimmed perfs at left) with indistinct cancel + Victoria Beaded Ovals 6d black tied by bold BN '1', backstamps of 'HAY/NSW', ''DENILIQUIN' & 'MOAMA' plus light Melbourne transit & very fine 'PENZANCE/NO20/61' arrival cds, a couple of minor blemishes. Number 21 in the Geoff Kellow Census ("Sydney Views" of August 2004 at pages 4-14). [Note: Lang's Crossing Place was renamed Hay 22/2/1861]
