Fine original condition. No cracks, damage, or repairs evident. Minor internal touch up of white paint to the neck of the body, this is not seen when lid is in place. Some areas of lifting and minor loss to the internal coat of arms decoration. A very good example, in good original condition for the type of jar.

Body of the jar in good original condition, no cracks, repairs, or restoration. Small area of lifting paint to the back of the jar, not noticeable when looking from the front. Coat of arms decoration in good condition with minor lifting of paint. The lid which is gold painted turned timber, appears to be glued in place and is most likely an old but later replacement.

Fair condition only. Numerous areas of loss and defects throguhout. Lid possibly not original to the piece but is period.

Body and lid of the jar in original condition without cracks, damage, or restoration. There is internal scuffing and loss to the lower rim of the lid for where it has rubbed on the neck of the jar, this is to be expected with age. Areas of lifting to the internal white painted body. Areas of loss to the gilt coat of arms decorations, as can be seen in the photo. Still presents well and a very nice example. A period turned mahogany plinth base is accompanied with this lot.

No chips or cracks to the glass, body or lid. Finial of the lid has later gold oil paint applied. Minor losses and deterioration to the inside black ground which is generally the case. The white, yellow and gilt decoration with losses to the outer border of the descriptive reverse-painted and applied decoration "PURE DRUGS". A very fine example in original order. Good example in good condition considering age and purpose.

The lid, ill fitting and appears to be a period replacement. No inner filters are present. There is a hole on either side of the filter carrying handles which have been filled with a red type of plug, these holes appear to be factory. No chips or cracks to the body, minor scuffs and scratches to the glaze as expected with age.

Large crack to the body on the right-hand side, which has white material around it possible glue residue to support the crack, this also radiates through the bottom of the filter. Crack can also be seen to the inside of the filter however still solid. Scuffs and scratches to the glaze as to be expected, several minor chips throughout.

In very good condition with no signs of major damage or defects. Very dirty however and would benefit from a clean.

Chips to rim of the lid.

Two star cracks to the body apparent; one below right-hand side handle, other larger one to the back. These appear to be old and may have been present during manufacture but now have colored with age and dirt. The rest of the piece presents very nicely with no chips or losses. Lid appears to be original with old tap, liner and filter core.

Lid in original condition with minor rubbing and losses to the salt glaze. Small crack and loss to the internal rim, this appears to be factory. Some star cracking to domed top of the lid, this does not appear to be an old repair, just old damage. Body with a chip to the top rim edge of the decorative boarder, this is on the back of the filter. Chip and loss at the two o’clock potion of the rim of the tap spout as can be seen in the photos. Scuffs and scratches to the salt glaze as to be expected. Retaining its original inner filter sieve. Although the lid is of the correct period, decoration, and colour, it does not fit the body correctly.

Body in original condition with scuffs and scratches to the glaze as expected with age. Minor chip/loss to the lower stepped edge to the right of the tap spout, visible in photograph. White paint splatters in a few areas of the body, would easily clean off. Decoration in good order. Chip and loss to the lid edge. Lid has correct matching makers impress mark, although the colour and glaze differs slightly from the body of the filter. The whole would benefit from a clean.

Body in good condition, overall cracklier finish to the glaze, minor scuffs and scratches. A good example of its type.
