As photographed, there are numerous areas of deterioration to the surface evidenced by the light patches case. This has been cleaned, revarnished, and retouched numerous times in its long lifetime. Case door with significant bow glass most likely replaced as well. Dial and hands appear to be original and very good condition. Movement appears to be original and runs for approximately 45 minutes before tripping up on the striking mechanism. Weights appear to be later cast iron. Overall, an attractive example that would benefit a professional overhaul. As is the case with all clocks and timepieces, we don’t guarantee working order.

Movement ticks for a while and then stops, would benefit from a clean and service. Still presents very attractively.

  • Condition Report

Appears to be professionally restored, minor scuffs and scratches to the case (as to be expected). Dial appears to be a later replacement. Has being retrofitted as to operate from a cell battery, all parts/movements appear to be present and correct. We are unable to test and run this clock due to it being brought in by the vendor with the pendulum assembly attached and the suspension spring has been broken. Professional set up/adjustment of the movement would be required for operation. A good example of its type.
