Some wear to the edge of the bowl which is slightly misshapen from use (as to be expected on a piece of this age). Appears to be a pin hole sized opening near the finial on both the front and back - We are unsure as to why this is here (possibly from an old repair).

Scuffs and scratches to the bowl, as to be expected. Crisp hallmark within the bowl. Rubbing to the diamond point engraving to the back of the bowl, date more so than ownership initials. There is evidence of a wedge shaped splice join and pin prick hole where the apostle has been attached to the handle. This may be a repair or later addition. A handsome example.

On close inspection, the fiddleback pattern examples appear to have been cleaned with an abrasive scourer or cloth which has unfortunately, affected the finish. The other two examples have some minor dents, bruises and general surface ware to be expected. Fair condition only.

All in good condition, showing some signs of use and wear including scuffs and scratches (to be expected with pieces of this age). We do note one has a tiny dent on the underside of the bowl (hardly worth mentioning).

Both appear to be complete and in good condition. However, we do note that these are made from very thin silver and many of the components are removable and bendable. 

Numerous dents and imperfections as is often the case with a piece of this age. On close inspection, this appears to be rubbing through to a base metal which appears to be brass.

Rim of the base slightly misshapen and dented in places. Rubbing to the highlights. Otherwise, appears to be complete and in good condition. Stamps appear to be 84 Russian silver standard, dated 1894 and with maker's marks both in Latin and Cyrillic. Private Melbourne collection.

The glass vessel is in good original condition with no chips, cracks or damage although some light wear. Engraved mounts with enamel decoration appear to be in original condition with no repairs or restoration or losses. Still fitting snuggly. Remnants of original gilding more so to the bottle top.

We are unable to removed the gold component/s to provide the gold weight - Overall weight is 70 grams.

This lot is being sold as A/F (all faults). Green example glass worn and scuffed with a couple of minor chips to extremities, silver ends both dented and slightly misshapen and worn through in places, cork deteriorated to interior and stopper missing at other end. Blue example glass chipped and worn, both silver end caps detached and in poor condition. Silver example in good condition. Estimate reflects condition.
