In our opinion, it appears that the coin has most likely been soldered to the brooch mount. This could be separated with heat but it would most likely be impossible to remove the solder material from the detail on the reverse side of the coin.

Item is not stamped 18ct but tests as such. Evidence of repairs where the dual coloured gold collars have been used as support, the back of one of these exposing a 2x1mm hole which has some internal support material. The head terminals are hollow as is the original manufacture of the bracelet (which internally can be seen through a slightly open seam) where it has been manufactured as a strip of 18ct gold pulled through a draw bar. (Not was filled).
